There were too many previous story threads left loose, with multiple new storylines added, that seemed kind of pointless. It was pretty clear that the most recent 3 movies were not a trilogy, they were 3 mildly interesting, stand-alone movies. Not what fans were hoping for to wrap up the 9 movie Skywalker storyline.

[21] Production Development In October 2012, Star Wars creator George Lucas sold his production company Lucasfilm, and with it the Star Wars franchise, to The Walt Disney Company. [22] Disney subsequently announced the Star Wars sequel trilogy. [23] In June 2014, it was announced that Rian Johnson, writer and director of The Last Jedi, would write a story treatment for Episode IX. [24] In August 2015, Colin Trevorrow was announced as the director of the film; [25] he was to write the script with frequent collaborator Derek Connolly. [25] [26] In April 2017, Johnson stated that he was not involved in writing the film. [27] In February 2016, Disney chief executive officer Bob Iger confirmed that pre-production on Episode IX had begun. [28] In late April 2017, Disney announced that the film would be released on May 24, 2019. [29] A month later, filming was expected to begin in January 2018, [30] [31] but this was later pushed back to August. In August 2017, it was announced that Jack Thorne would rewrite the script. [32] On September 5, 2017, Lucasfilm stated that Trevorrow had left the production following creative differences. [33] The Hollywood Reporter reported that his working relationship with Kathleen Kennedy had become unmanageable after failing to deliver a satisfactory script, despite writing several drafts. [34] Johnson was rumored as the top choice to replace Trevorrow as director, [35] but stated "it was never in the plan for me to direct Episode IX. " [36] The next day, it was announced that J. J. Abrams, the director of The Force Awakens, would return to direct the film, [37] and that the film's release date would be moved to December 20, 2019. [38] The story team met with George Lucas before writing the new script, [39] which Abrams co-wrote with Chris Terrio. [40] The film is being produced by Abrams' company Bad Robot Productions, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan. [40] Before filming, Episode IX was initially given the working title Black Diamond, which was then changed to Trixie. [41] The title, The Rise of Skywalker, was announced at April 2019's Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. [42] Casting Carrie Fisher, who played Leia Organa, died in 2016. Variety and Reuters reported that she had been planned for a key role in The Rise of Skywalker. [43] In January 2017, Lucasfilm stated that there were no plans to digitally generate Fisher's performance as they had for Rogue One. [44] The following April, Fisher's brother Todd revealed that Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, had granted Disney the rights to use recent footage of Fisher. [45] However, a week later, Kathleen Kennedy stated that Fisher would not appear in the film. [46] [47] In July 2018, J. J. Abrams announced that unused footage of Fisher from The Force Awakens would be used to help complete the story. [48] A week later, it was revealed that unseen footage from The Last Jedi would also be used. [14] [15] According to Todd Fisher, There's a lot of minutes of footage. I don't mean just outtakes. This is unused, new content that could be woven into the storyline.... It's going to look like it was meant to be. Like it was shot yesterday. [15] In July 2018, Keri Russell was in talks to play a part for some "action-heavy fight scenes", [49] along with the long-awaited confirmation that Billy Dee Williams will return as Lando Calrissian. [50] At the end of the month, Russell was confirmed to have been cast, [51] along with the announcement of returning and additional new cast members. [1] In late August, Deadline Hollywood announced that Dominic Monaghan and Matt Smith had been cast in unspecified roles, [19] [52] but Smith later denied his involvement. [53] [h] Jimmy Vee and Greg Grunberg reprise their roles as R2-D2 and Temmin "Snap" Wexley, respectively. [56] [21] Brian Herring returns to puppeteer BB-8. [57] At Star Wars Celebration in April 2019, it was revealed that Ian McDiarmid will return to portray Palpatine. [16] Since Celebration was held after principal photography wrapped, J. J. Abrams was thrilled that news of McDiarmid on the set never leaked. [58] Filming Principal photography began on August 1, 2018, at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England. [1] Filming was also done in Wadi Rum, Jordan. [59] Oscar Isaac stated that Abrams was allowing more improvised acting than in the previous two films. [60] Due to the tight schedule, some editing took place on set. [61] On January 28, 2019, Anthony Daniels finished filming for his role as C-3PO in the film. [62] Principal photography wrapped on February 15, 2019. [63] Footage from the film was shown at The Walt Disney Company's annual shareholders meeting on March 7, 2019. [64] Visual effects The visual effects will be provided by Industrial Light & Magic and supervised by Roger Guyett. [65] Music In July 2013, Kennedy announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe that John Williams would return to score the Star Wars sequel trilogy. [66] On January 10, 2018, it was reported that Williams would return to compose and conduct The Rise of Skywalker. [67] [68] The next month, Williams announced that it would be the last Star Wars film for which he would compose the score. [69] Marketing Though Abrams has stayed silent about many details of the film, he has expressed his hopes that audiences will be "satisfied. " [70] He headed a panel dedicated to the film on April 12, 2019 during Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, Illinois, [71] where the film's title was revealed via the first trailer, and new images were shown. [42] The trailer was viewed 111 million times in the first 24 hours of its release, which was 20 million more views than the teaser for The Last Jedi and more than double that of The Force Awakens. [72] A publishing campaign titled "Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker " was announced on May 4, 2019 ( Star Wars Day). It will include the novel Resistance Reborn, set between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, and various other titles. [73] Additionally, the story events of the Disneyland themed area Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge precede the film, including the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run motion simulator, which features Chewbacca. [74] Release The Rise of Skywalker will be released on December 20, 2019 in the United States. [38] It was originally planned to be released on May 24 before being pushed back. I decided to ignore that thinking that it might be just a one off. to my dismay it wasn't. The ENTIRE FIRST HALF was RUSHED and full of flat and wooden dialogue which made me lose my apetite for any popcorn I had!
At this point I was asking myself if buying a ticket let alone popcorn was even worth it.
I did like the C3PO moments they were hilarious. But still did not make up for all the overwhelmingly underwhelming mess that I was witnessing!
Finn. yeah we heard ya, no need to shout like that, it was annoying as hell and cringeworthy! I loved those Millennium Falcon stunts tho they were cool.
Rey, Palpatine's Granddaughter. Wtf? That was really stupid, I get it though, JJ Abrams was given the duty to clean up TLJ's mess which is frankly impossible to do in a 2.5hr runtime. Disney, What were you thinking? Ah of course. money.
I give up at this point. they ruined Leia which is disgusting and inappropriate to do in memory of someone who died! You should be ashamed!
Too many new and quick unnoticeable characters were included unnecessarily!
Hats off to some of the actors who still tried to do their best... but hey, let's face it they worked with what they were given.
The cinematography was spectacular and mesmerizing, the only major positive in this movie in my opinion.
Overall rating is an F.
How did palpitine still live when dark vador destroyed him? Hmm why can;t I have that power. Please be good, please be good, please be good.

Movie star wars 3a episode ix- the rise of skywalker php. I watched this before seeing the rise of Skywalker. “Now this is pod racing”. I swear, ive heard this music in another trailer before. I really enjoyed this film as an entertaining couple hours of movie. There were a few annoying gaps in the plot and the fact that they brought Emperor Palpatine back from the dead is actually the worst thing ever. But. The jokes were good. Feelings were had. I don't think it was as bad as people are making it out to be. I mean. it's no Cats. If Palpatine actually comes back Im gonna be so pissed, just retcon the whole entire universe and make the original trilogy pointless just so they can make money.

/ Review: Ghost Pictures and Passion Pictures and a documentary feature about the troubled heart and soul of Michael Hutchence, lead singer and songwriter of INXS.
Where can i watch mystify: michael hutchence. 20 years gone. Sorry you had to go. Wow. The music lives on forever. This extraordinary Australian (documentary) film weaves its deeply moving tale using expertly edited film footage from across Michael Hutchence's far too few years, to present an audience with a flawlessly flowing movie. It is a story of the complexity and often harshness of life for so many brilliantly talented creatives whose intelligence is sometimes too much for a single brain to handle. The commentary is all soundbites from his friends and associates and his story unfolds in pretty much chronological order. 'Mystify' is also a touching treatment of depression and how it can grab hold and destroy in some cases.
Omg. I found this and didn't know who it was or what it was called. I remember hearing it growing up and now accidentally found it. Nostalgia is now flowing through my heart 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁. This music appear in my dream one night. In the morning, the first thing i did was turn on my radio´s car and play this track.

Channel 4 aired its new drama The Accident tonight (October 24) and viewers have delivered a rather damning verdict. Starring Sarah Lancashire ( Happy Valley) and Joanna Scanlan ( The Thick of It) and written by Jack Thorne, the four-part show follows a small Welsh town that's left devastated after an explosion and the collapse of a regeneration project results in the deaths of several teenagers. Channel 4 The new series is inspired by the real-life tragedy of Grenfell Tower, which burned down in 2017, killing 72 residents. It's also loosely based on the 1966 Aberfan disaster, in which the collapse of a colliery spoil tip plant led to several buildings being covered by a slurry, including a local junior school, claiming the lives of 116 children and 28 adults. However, while the series promises to deliver some hard hits over the course of the remaining three episodes, viewers were far from impressed by tonight's premiere, with many criticising the performances, Welsh accents, writing, plot and. well, everything else, really. One person tweeted. TheAccident 15 mins in and looks like @Channel4 have done everything they can to combine Skins, Happy Valley & Casualty into one show with the dodgiest South Walian accents. While another wrote: Given the cast, I had high hopes for #theaccident. So far the plot has been ridiculous. A smallish bang and the whole community flock to a building site. Reports of gas leaks and the rescue team using angle grinders? Poor. Check out more of the reactions below. The Accident airs Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
